Baberrih sits where the coast road ends: Moulay Bouzerktoune, a fishing village facing Tissa Beach, far from the noise and 25 minutes from the medina. Here the desert runs down to the sea and the Atlantic wind sets the pace.
The house is built the way they build in this region — tadelakt, wood, shaded patios — and lives off its own garden: an orchard and farmyard that provide breakfast every morning and much of the menu. An infinity pool facing the ocean, a yoga room with our own instructor and stables for rides through the hills.
The place provides the rest: the beach fifty metres away, the wind that draws kiters from around the world, and a night sky that competes with no city.

Our garden and farmyard aren't decoration: they're the pantry. What the garden doesn't give comes from Essaouira's fish market and the region's souks.
