We keep a stable at the house. The ride leaves from here, follows Tissa beach and comes back as the sun drops.

How it works

The stable is part of the house, like the pool or the garden. So there is no transfer and no outside operator to chase: we kit you out, we go with you, we leave.

  • The start From the stable, a walk from the hall. No car journey involved.
  • The route Tissa beach and the Moulay Bouzerktoune coast, north of the medina, where there is almost nobody.
  • The timing We suggest late afternoon: the wind drops, the light is low and the sand is firm.
  • The level Beginners welcome — a guide stays with you. Tell us if you have never ridden.
  • Children Welcome, with an adult and depending on size. Give us their age when booking so we prepare the right mount.

Do I need to know how to ride?
No. A guide stays with you from start to finish and sets the pace. Just tell us if it is your first time, so we pick the right horse.
Where do you go?
Along Tissa beach and the Moulay Bouzerktoune coast, north of the Essaouira medina. It is our stretch of shoreline: wide sand, very few people.
What time?
Late afternoon is best: the wind drops, the light is good and the sand is firm. We also run morning rides, which are cooler.
Can children ride?
Yes, with an adult and depending on their size. Tell us their age when booking so we prepare a suitable mount.
How do I book and what does it cost?
Activities are always confirmed with reception, who give you the exact rate for the duration and the number of riders before you set off. Mention it when booking your suite, or write to us on WhatsApp.
